YOM and Cluster Protocol are excited to announce our partnership agreement, linking our two DePIN projects and strengthening our mutual market positions. The partnership is exciting from both directions as the technology and reach of each team’s network is sure to be enhanced by the collaboration.
Started in 2020, YOM is pioneering the first cloud gaming DePIN on Solana, enabling white-label metaverses, immersive experiences, and games in the cloud at near-zero cost. Leveraging a distributed network of gaming machines, YOM offers global low-latency cloud gaming to any device and channel, effectively getting rid of Xbox / Playstation and gaming desktops. While the application of this technology is apparent in the game space, enabling AAA projects to open their funnel to any player through their web browser, the application of the technology will almost certainly expand the reach of 3D immersive experiences for brands, social media, and other forms of entertainment.
Cluster Protocol is a Proof of Compute Protocol and Open Source Community for Decentralized AI Models. They are dedicated to enhancing AI model training and execution across distributed networks. The system employs advanced techniques such as fully homomorphic encryption and federated learning to safeguard data privacy and promote secure data localization.
Cluster Protocol also supports decentralized datasets and collaborative model training environments, which reduce the barriers to AI development and democratize access to computational resources. Its innovative features, like the Deploy to Earn model and Proof of Compute, provide avenues for users to monetize idle GPU resources while ensuring transaction security and resource optimization.
Cluster Protocol also provides an infrastructure to anyone for building anything AI over them. The platform’s architecture also fosters a transparent compute layer for verifiable task processing, which is crucial for maintaining integrity in decentralized networks.
Because both teams recognize the challenges that cloud gaming has faced in the past, the pairing of the compute that Cluster has available with the demand that projects hosted on YOM is certainly going to create means that scaling can be accomplished quickly. While the individual nodes are the backbone of the YOM network, the ability to rely on cycles available in either underserved regions or during peak usage times is invaluable to the reliable and secure DePIN of which both teams are championing.
The collaboration between YOM and Cluster Protocol has only recently begun, with test machines made available to the YOM engineers to begin communication and other benchmarking. As each team works to mature their tech stack, consistent communications and frequent technical exchanges are on deck to further strengthen their ties.
