They do this by raising awareness, helping to accelerate adoption, sharing best practices, and providing an open and inclusive platform to BGA members.

YOM’s mission is to provide the foundational network that will power the coming 3D Internet by solving the two largest impediments to cloud gaming, latency and cost. By providing the DePIN that allows the deployment of any Unreal experience to be streamed through web browsers at a fraction of the hosting costs of a central server, YOM will enable the best quality games to reach anyone with internet access, including on mobile devices. By using home gaming PCs as the nodes to the network, costs like construction and operation of large data centers are avoided, lowering hosting costs by up to 90%. Because of the decentralized nature of the network, low latency is achieved by algorithms that find the closest, fastest node to the end user.
Once developers are able to stream games via the web browser, the gaming market opens up to those millions of users who do not have access to a high powered gaming machine. That means the PCs given to students through their school programs, or gamers who access the internet mostly through their mobile devices, are able to experience the high quality games that are in development. This also means that brands who wish to move into the 3D space, as they are discovering that that is where the consumers are, now have the ability to host a game directly on their own websites. This helps to create website traffic and enables a reward loop that can build brand loyalty.
As the mission of the BGA is to promote blockchain within the gaming industry, YOM is excited to make available our SDK which allows for blockchain wallet integration in and out of the gaming experience.
