YOM x Toast 4 Peace: The DePIN and Support for a More Peaceful World

In a joint effort to promote the cause of peace, YOM and Toast 4 Peace announce a partnership that leverages the reach of both companies and networks.

YOM, known for its state-of-the-art decentralized pixel-streaming network focusing on delivering AAA quality games to any web browser on any device, is dedicated to providing a service that is equitable and sustainable.

Toast 4 Peace campaign launched by The Laughing Otter is a program with the goal of having 1 million glasses raised on August 31st to simultaneously toast “Here’s to ending all wars!” This worldwide action is in keeping with the goal of the company to give back and make a social impact, to help people who need a helping hand, and to create a world where children everywhere can have a fair start on a path to happiness.

Matching Intentions

The promise of the YOM DePIN beyond bringing gaming to more players via cloud gaming is the social impact of the decentralized network in empowering distributed revenue. The traditional cloud gaming models have an issue apart from the high cost of hosting and difficulties with latency. The traditional model also aggregated all revenue to the central provider, making massive corporations large profits even with their inefficient systems. With the DePIN model, as individual gaming PC owners are a node on the network and provide cycles to game developers, they earn that revenue instead. This puts more capital into local economies as it provides passive income for contributing resources.

This puts the goals of YOM directly in unison with the goals of The Laughing Otter organization. Both teams feel very strongly that the businesses can have both a role and an obligation to improving the world as we interact with it. The Toast 4 Peace campaign is the first collaboration they will share, to further the cause of stability in the world.

Getting Involved

The YOM community is invited to get involved in a number of ways. First, go to the Toast 4 Peace site and pledge to join us on Aug 31st. The studio will be recording and posting our toast and spreading all of the posts from our community.

There is also a way to be creatively involved as the campaign is open to artists who wish to submit art for the Toast 4 Peace NFT line. Art themed with “Toast” at the center will be minted and sold through the program, with the artist receiving a portion of the proceeds.

Finally, if you have an organization who would also like to partner with The Laughing Otter, apply through the website. The campaign welcomes all like minded projects to be involved in spreading the message of peace.

Keep up to date by joining the social media feeds of both projects. We will be holding AMAs and other events throughout the month of August in order to expand on this partnership and gain as much exposure as possible. With the world so tumultuous, this campaign is both aptly timed and greatly needed.
